Graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science in December 2017, throughout undergrad I was involved in the Computer Science & Engineering departments as an tutor for various lower division courses. I was Vice President of the Muslim Student Association from 2016-2017. I was also selected as the student keynote speaker for the Jacobs Science of Engineering (JSOE) Ring Ceremony.
Graduated with a Masters in Computer Science in 2019, I was a TA for lower and upper division courses (security, compilers, Intro to Programming). During my Masters, my courses and electives were focused on systems and security related topics. I continued to be involved in teaching as the Founder of CS foreach, an organization to increase access to Computer Science by hosting workshops in low-income schools in San Diego County.
Selected to participate in an International Hackathon hosted at NYU Abu Dhabi in April 2018. Built a language learning tool to connect Arabic learners to refugees in their communities that are proficient in these dialects. We leveraged technologies such as NLP and active learning to identify colloquial terms.
